Lumber Services
Using state-of-the-art automated handling driven by the latest in computer technology, Associated Hardwoods can provide you with 100% custom processing.
Rough
Rough cut lumber is untouched that comes straight from the mill in the form of planks. This is a raw version of lumber that has yet to be treated and varies in thickness but can be milled down to the desired thickness and dimensions.
Surface Two Sides (S2S)
Surfaced Two Sides (S2S) is rough lumber that has been dressed on the top and bottom of the board in order to meet the requested thickness. Associated Hardwoods has state-of-the-art plainer machines that dress the boards to meet the customer exact specifications.
Straight-Line-Rip
Straight-Line-Rip is where either one or both sides of the board is ripped to a custom size providing a true edge. This service is extremely beneficial to the furniture and cabinet industries.
Rip-To-Width
Rip-To-Width lumber is where both sides of the board are ripped to a customer specified width.
Rip/Cut-To-Length
Cut-To-Length is where the board is cut to the proper size and length based upon standard specs or customer's unique specifications.
Glued-To-Spec
Glued-To-Spec is where boards that have already been cut and ripped to size requirements are glued onto a panel.
Panel Sand
Panel Sand is where the board is sanded down to an even smoother finish after S2S is completed.
FSC Certified Lumber
This lumber has been certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), which means the wood is sustainably-sourced from forests that are responsibly managed and meet the rigorous environmental, social, and economic requirements.
